MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – A working structure fire in Myrtle Beach forced a portion on Kings Highway to be closed Thursday morning.
According to the Myrtle Beach Police Department, 14th Avenue North to 18th Avenue North is shut down to the fire.
Myrtle Beach Fire Department Fire Marshal Bruce Arnel said the call came in around 8:15 a.m. for a report of smoke showing at the Whales Beachwear store on Kings Highway.
Arnel said the fire appeared to start in the roof area.
The road is expected to be open by 10 a.m.
There’s no word yet on the cause of the fire.
