CABELL COUNTY, W. Va. (WCMH) — A man in West Virginia has been charged after wildlife officials found two deer living with him inside his home.
According to the West Virginia Natural Resources Police, a complaint was received July 4, of deer being kept inside a Cabell County home. When officers arrived on scene they found two bucks inside the residence and according to police, the deer had been living inside for about a year.
In West Virginia, it is illegal to confine wildlife or secure them in an area where they are not able to roam free or come and go as they please.
