FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – Tuesday evening, the West Florence Fire Department was called to a home on West Pointe Drive in reference to a structure fire with possible entrapment.
Captain Anthony Fox with West Florence Fire says two engines, two tankers and a rescue truck responded to the scene at 6:20 p.m. along with 17 firefighters.
The first responders were able to control that fire within 11 minutes of entering the structure and also rescued a dog found in the home.
Fox says damage was limited to the room the fire started and officials are not yet sure what caused the fire.
