WCSO investigates after students report assault by school security guard

ANDREWS, SC (WBTW)-  Officials with the Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office are investigating after a school security officer allegedly sexually assaulted students at an Andrews school.

Investigator Alex Edwards says the Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office responded to D.P. Cooper Charter School in reference to allegations of assault on Dec. 6.

On arrival, deputies discovered a male school security officer allegedly assaulted five female juvenile students at the school, Edwards says.

Investigators say the security officer is accused of exposing his private parts to one of the female students, and another student reported that he kissed her facial area.

The security officer is currently on administrative leave pending the outcome of this investigation.
