CONWAY (WBTW) – Wake Forest defeated Coastal Carolina 11-0 on Tuesday night at Springs Brooks Stadium.
In the first, the Deacons first three batters reached on a walk, a hit by pitch and another walk. Will Craig lined an RBI single to left and Ben Breazeale reached on an infield single to give Wake a 2-0 lead. They added four more runs in the first inning and five in the seventh. Gavin Sheets led Wake Forest with three RBIs.
Seth Lancaster led CCU with two hits. Chris Davidson suffered the loss. He gave up six earned runs.
Coastal and Wake Forest will square off again Wednesday with first pitch set for 5 pm.
