Vigorous physical activity could help you live longer

A new study is raising questions about whether breast milk can protect children from obesity later in life. Researchers from Cincinnati Children’s Medical Center reviewed more than 80 studies on breastfeeding done over 20 years. They say because human milk and milk production can vary among women, the data doesn’t promote breastfeeding as the top strategy to prevent obesity. Lumbar spinal stenosis
Physical therapy and surgery may offer the same results to older patients suffering from lumbar spinal stenosis. The common age-related problem causes lower back pain and leg pain. University of Pittsburgh researchers looked at nearly 170 patients and found symptoms were relieved and function was improved in as many patients choosing physical therapy as those opting for surgery. Exercise and longevity
The key to avoiding early death could be working up a sweat. That’s according to a new, large Australian study. Researchers followed more than 200,000 people for more than 6 years and found the risk of death for those who did vigorous activities like jogging and aerobics was lower than those who did moderate activities.
