Deputies with the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred early Sunday morning.
Matthew Jackson of Timmonsville died as a result of the shooting, according to the Darlington County coroner. One other person was taken to the hospital.
Jackson was shot Saturday night at his home in the 3300 block of Timmonsville Highway.
Darlington County Coroner J. Todd Hardee has ruled the death a homicide.
The shooting remains under investigation by SLED and the Darlington County Coroner’s Office.
