FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – The victim of a crash involving an SUV and a pickup on Highway 76 in Florence has been identified.
The SUV and the pickup were driving west on Highway 76 near South McCall Boulevard at about 11:55 a.m. on Tuesday when they collided, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The SUV made an improper lane change, striking the side of the pickup, highway patrol reports. The SUV then traveled off to the right side of the road.
The driver of the SUV was killed.
The coroner in Florence County identified the victim as, L.T. Blackmon.
Blackmon was 81 years old.
Both drivers were wearing seatbelts, according to the highway patrol.
