UPDATE: Death toll now at 22 as tornadoes moved through Alabama, officials say.

A line of severe weather has brought strong storms and tornadoes to the southeast, killing at least two children.

There is widespread damage across the area, including the Weedon Field Airport in Eufaula, AL. More than 30 airport hangars were destroyed according to Eufaula mayor Jack Tibbs. The city’s fire station located just north of the airport was also a total loss, the mayor said.

Alabama Governor Kay Ivey has extended the State of Emergency issued on February 23 to statewide due to the damages Sunday.
