The Carolina Country Music Fest brought a huge amount of big name country music stars to the Grand Strand.
Eric Church, Hunter Hayes, Lady Antebellum, Big & Rich and Rascal Flatts are just a few of the artists to grace the stage.
Bailey Livingston traveled from Sumter to Myrtle Beach to see the show, she was one of hundreds of fans who got the chance to not only see her favorite performers, but meet them up close and personal.
“I’m real excited, I’m in line to meet Big and Rich,” said Livingston. John Rich of Big & Rich and Cowboy Troy spent over an hour signing autographs and taking pictures with fans.
They were just as excited to meet the fans and even did a live interview with News13 on Saturday night, “I’m glad Myrtle Beach is hosting this festival…some of the greatest country music fans are right here in myrtle beach and we can wait to play for them tonight,” said Rich.
Doddi Aldridge lives in Myrtle Beach, she says the festival is just what the area needs, “we’re managers and rely on tourists here and this brings in tourists. Plus we love the music and all the traffic.”
With some of her favorite artists in town, Aldrigde says some of the star power is rubbing off, “its awesome. It makes us feel like were celebrities a little bit too.”
Speaking of local celebrities, Amanda Adams of Myrtle Manor fame, was spotted zip lining over the crowds with her boyfriend.
“Your flying high over the country music fest what more could you want?” asked Adams.
She was thrilled for the chance to catch big name acts in person, while staying close to home.
“It’s awesome cause you don’t have to spend a lot of money and travel far away its right here in your hometown, so you know where you’re at, you can just have fun go home and its the perfect thing,” she said.
