FLORENCE, SC – The United Way of Florence County (UWFC) will be holding the giveaway event for their 2015 “You’re In the Driver’s Seat” campaign on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at 5:30 p.m. As part of the driving theme for the 2015 campaign, the UWFC will be giving one lucky donor a one-year lease on a brand new red Ford Fiesta.
The car to be given away was provided by Mike Reichenbach Ford Lincoln through a partnership with the UWFC. The event will be held at the Mike Reichenbach Ford Lincoln dealership at 600 North Coit Street in Florence.
To be eligible for the drawing, an individual had to make a donation or a pledge to the United Way of Florence County for at least $100. Each $100 donation equaled one entry into the drawing and individuals were allowed multiple entries for every $100 donation or pledge they made.
To determine the finalists for the giveaway event, ten names were drawn at random from the pool of donors who had donated or pledged at least $100 or more by April 8, 2016. These ten finalists will attend the giveaway event at Mike Reichenbach Ford Lincoln where the ultimate winner of the car will be randomly determined live at the event.
Along with the brand new car, the UWFC will also be giving away three additional grand prizes to donors who donated or pledged $100 or more on Thursday, May 12, 2016. These prizes include a three-night stay at the Sea Crest Oceanfront Resort in Myrtle Beach, a Coleman Road Trip Propane Grill, and a 46″ HD Flat Screen TV with Kinect and Xbox. The winners of these prizes will be drawn at random using the same method as the car giveaway. The nine remaining finalists from the car giveaway who did not win the car will be eligible for these prizes as well.
