FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – A raid at a Florence motel led narcotics investigators to numerous drugs and the arrests of two suspects, according to the Florence County Sheriff’s Office.
Major Mike Nunn with the sheriff’s office says a one-month undercover investigation led narcotics investigators and Florence County Sheriff’s Office SWAT to a motel on Highway 52 North, near the intersection of I-95, on Thursday. Officials did not name the motel.
Agents executed a “no knock” search warrant on the motel room and found crack cocaine, cocaine, heroin, crystal methamphetamine, ecstasy, and marijuana, confirms Major Nunn.
As a result, agents arrested Jason Rashaad Jones, 36, of Darlington, and Latasha Nicole Black, 33, of Florence. The duo is charged with possession of cocaine, possession of crack cocaine, trafficking in methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute heroin and possession of MDMA (ecstasy). Jones was also charged with distribution of crack cocaine, third offense.
Jones and Black are being held at the Florence County Detention Center on surety bonds of $29,000 and $35,000 respectively, Major Nunn adds.
