FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – Officers arrested two 17-year-old men after they reportedly robbed a Florence gas station clerk at gunpoint as she was walking to her car Wednesday night, according to Major Carlos Raines with the Florence Police Department.
Major Raines says the armed robbery happened around 9:20 p.m. Wednesday night at the Gasway, located at 1102 West Evans Street in Florence.
The store employee closed the store and was walking to her vehicle when she was approached by two men, one of which showed a gun and said, “hand it over.” The suspects then grabbed the woman’s purse and ran behind the store, Major Raines confirms.
Police arrested Tyson Stavon Fleming and Donque Kaleif Thomas, both 17, of Florence. Each man is charged with one count of armed robbery, confirms Major Raines.
