DARLINGTON, S.C. (WBTW)- The Darlington County Sheriff’s Office arrested two men on drug charges after a police chase.
According to Sheriff Wayne Byrd, deputies tried to stop a car on Monday night, but the suspects continued to drive until they hit a truck.
Deputies charged 30-year-old Michael Yarborough of Scranton with possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine within proximity of a school, broken seal inside a motor vehicle and allowing an unauthorized driver to drive a motor vehicle.
29-year-old Matthew Ross from Pamplico is charged with possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine 2nd offense, possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine within proximity of a school, simple possession of marijuana, failure to stop for a blue light, broken seal inside a motor vehicle, allowing an unauthorized driver to drive a motor vehicle and littering.
Sheriff Byrd says neither man was hurt, and deputies seized five grams of crack cocaine, one gram of marijuana, and over $1,500 from the vehicle.
