Two dead in overnight crashes

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW)-The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating two deadly crashes that happened Friday night in Horry county.

The first happened at 6:50 Friday night on highway 548.  A Cadillac SUV was headed west on highway 548 when a Chevy pickup truck ran a stop sign at Wayside road. The pickup truck then hit a stop sign and overturned.

Eunice Leal-Jimenez, 25 years old, died at Grand Strand hospital from her injuries. She is originally from Mexico but was living in Conway. Two children were also in the pickup truck and sustained non-life threatening injuries.

The second crash happened on highway nine at 7:55 Friday night. Patricia Soles, 58 years old, died after being struck by a vehicle on Hwy 9 near Log Cabin Rd. Ms. Soles is from Loris.

Both crashes remain under investigation. Count on News13 to keep you covered.
