MARION, SC (WBTW) – The Marion County Sheriff’s Office says they have made arrests after two men robbed the Dollar General on 501 Business earlier in the month.

According to a press release from Captain Judith Barker with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Joshua Devon Taylor, 19, and Jamie Williams, 21, have been charged with armed robbery and possession of a weapon during commission of a violent crime. While Taylor was being taken into custody, cash belonging to the Dollar General was seized, Captain Barker says.

Marion County Sheriff Brian Wallace says two men entered the store March 6, threatened the employees at gunpoint  and left with cash.

“These two violent offenders came into the county to rob a local business and threaten to shot the employees. I’d like to thank all agencies involved for getting these two dangerous individuals off the street,” Sheriff Wallace said.

Taylor and Wiliams are being held at the Marion County Detention Center on a $125,000 surety bond.
