LAKE CITY, SC (WBTW) – The Florence County Coroner’s Office says two people were found deceased in a home in Lake City Monday afternoon.
According to Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken, the bodies of two people were discovered inside a home on Franklin Street in Lake City Monday.
The coroner identified the victims as 62-year-old Jimmy Lee Burgess and 56-year-old William James Hickson.
According to Coroner von Lutcken, both died from carbon monoxide poisoning. He said they heated the house with a small space heater, powered by a gas generator inside the home.
Both victims died Sunday night.
