CLEMSON (AP) – Former Major League Baseball player Tim Teufel and ex-NFL linebacker Ed McDaniel are among the latest 10 inductees named to the Clemson Athletic Hall of Fame.
The Tigers’ Letterwinners Association announced the group Tuesday.
Teufel was an all-Atlantic Coast Conference player for Clemson in 1979 and 1980 before going on to a 10-year career in the majors.
McDaniel led Clemson in tackles in three of his four seasons from 1988-91. He later played 10 seasons with the Minnesota Vikings.
Others named to the hall were former men’s tennis coach Duane Burley and tennis player Jay Berger, basketball players Cheron Wells and Billy Williams, soccer players Nancy Augustyniak and Pearse Tormey, golfer Danny Ellis and swimmer Linda Rutter.
The group will be inducted during ceremonies the weekend of Oct. 9-10.
