FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – Trinity Baptist Church will culminate her 150th Anniversary on Saturday, April 27th and Sunday, April 28th. The public is invited to attend the events to celebrate this milestone.  The church is located at 124 W. Darlington Street.  

The following is a register of our pastors with their time of service: Reverend Grief Carter came in 1873 and served for eleven years, Reverend Eden Rainey Roberts served for 17 years, Reverend J. N. Jenkins 1901-1903; Reverend A. J. Streater, 1903-1905; Reverend H. W. Hood,1905-1907; Reverend Charles C. Taylor, 1907-1927; William Preston Jones,1927-1932; Reverend Andrew Hill,1934-1952; Reverend James J. Abney, 1952-1958; Reverend Horace P. Sharper,1959-1961; Dr. William P. Diggs, our Pastor Emeritus, and longest servings pastor to date came to Trinity in 1962 and retired in 2012. After Pastor Diggs retired, Reverend Preston H. Winkler served as supply pastor from 2013 until 2015.

On Sunday, February 8, 2015, Reverend Dr. Calvin E. Robinson, Jr. became the pastor.

The  Sesquicentennial Banquet event is Saturday, April 27th at the Florence Center 3300 Radio Dr. Florence, at 6:00 pm. Doors open at 5:00 and the attire is Black Tie/Optional and Tickets are $50.00 per person.

The speaker for the occasion is Reverend Tyron Jones, pastor of First Baptist Church, Guilford Maryland and entertainment by Dr. Bill Cummings, Charlotte, NC.

Sunday, April 28th our guest speaker if Reverend Dr. Paul McDaniel, Chattanooga, Tennessee.
