DARLINGTON, SC – The biggest social gathering in Darlington, the annual Taste of Darlington will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, April 21, in the garage area at Darlington Raceway. Tickets are $30 per person in advance and $35 at the gate. Ages 21 or older please. Funds support the Darlington Downtown Revitalization Association (DDRA) and its efforts to assist the business community.
Tickets are available in Florence at The Healthy Food Store; in Hartsville at Burry Bookstore and Carolina Bank; in Darlington at the Chamber, Main Street Jewelers, The Jewelers Bench, Darlington Raceway Museum, The News & Press, City Hall, Dedicated Community Bank, and Carolina Bank; in Lamar at Carolina Bank; and in Society Hill at Carolina Bank.
The menu includes delectable meats, desserts, and sides as well as plentiful libations and a great DJ.
This year’s sponsors include Raceway Ford of Darlington, Daddy’s Auto Sales, Arbor One Financial, WBTW News 13, The News & Press, Community Broadcasters, Pee Dee Electric, and Sonoco.
Other partners and cooks include S.C. The Taste is the DDRA’s biggest fundraiser, raising money for a variety of projects, including decorations for Race Week, beautification projects, business seminars, the Market on Darlington Square, Darlington Veterans Memorial, and the DDRA Improvement Incentive Grant Program, among other things.
It will be a great night to eat, meet, and greet under the stars at the Track Too Tough To Tame on Thursday, April 21.
