Thunderstorms tomorrow could bring damaging wind

Tuesday is a Weather Alert Day for the potential for severe thunderstorms in the afternoon. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue overnight, but severe weather is no longer expected. Showers and thunderstorms will be likely again Tuesday. Any thunderstorms in the morning will not be severe. If clouds clear and temperatures warm into the upper 70s and low 80s, severe thunderstorms will be possible tomorrow afternoon. Damaging wind, large hail and an isolated tornado are possible tomorrow if it heats up. This storm system will push offshore tomorrow night, and it will clear on Wednesday. It will be a little cooler, and the humidity will drop. The next chance for thunderstorms will be Friday through the weekend.

Tonight, mostly cloudy, warm and muggy with showers and thunderstorms. Lows 63 inland, 66 beaches.

Tomorrow, mostly cloudy, warm and humid with showers and thunderstorms. Highs 78 inland, 76 beaches.

Wednesday, partly sunny and a little cooler. Highs 71-76.
