DARLINGTON – Trayvon Thomas says his football future is in Columbia, and he hopes it will include the Gamecocks.

The Darlington running back signed with Palmetto Prep Wednesday. He hopes to spend a year and then transfer to South Carolina. Thomas ran for more than 1,500 yards as a senior. He made the All-Blitz team and built a reputation for being hard to tackle. He says he hopes to take that same skill set to college.

Falcons linebacker Antonio Hannah and receiver Tyriq Workman also signed Wednesday. Hannah chose Bethany College in West Virginia. Workman is headed to Orangeburg-Calhoun Prep. He hopes to move on to Charleston Southern after his time there.
