Thousands of people took to the streets of Myrtle Beach for the 21st annual Myrtle Beach Marathon. 

More than 4,000 people from across the country competed in the marathon, half-marathon, and 5K races. The race started by Pelicans Stadium, and continued on Mr. Joe White Avenue, Kings Highway, through the Market Common, and then down Ocean Boulevard. A group of women from Myrtle Beach women who have run the half-marathon for several years, and dragged their friend, Darcy Taiani, to join them for the first time. “We’re joining in for the first time with these crazy people who have done it for years,” she said. “And my daughter said that she would run and keep us going so. We run as a group so we try to do everything together.”
