FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – With Easter quickly approaching, kids kicked the holiday off with a huge Easter egg hunt Saturday morning.
The Lebanon Free Will Baptist Church in Effingham host the annual Eggstravaganza each year.
Leaders hid more than twelve thousand eggs and more than 2,500 people attended.
The pastor of the church says the event is held to bring the community out for a free and fun event during thee holiday.
“It’s such a great appreciation for people who are coming out and telling us thank you for hosting this because it doesn’t cost anybody anything, just come out and take their time. But getting to see people come together and have a good time and being able to do it in the name of Jesus is just awesome,” Atkinson said.
The hunt was held on the property where the new church will be built.
Pastor Atkinson says they will break ground later this year.
