LUMBERTON, NC – The fair board members of the Robeson Regional Agricultural Fair are pleased to announce an all new line up and dates for 2016. The first noticeable change is our date as we are moving from a 9-day fair to a 10-day fair beginning on Thursday, September 29-Saturday October 8. “We worked with our carnival Wade Shows and felt that we could open a day earlier giving our patrons an extra day to plan to come out and enjoy this year’s fair,” said Fair President, Allen Faircloth.
To add to the extra day, the board has created a whole new schedule with new entertainment, and competitions. “Adding to the line up this year are some really exciting family shows,” said Coble Wilson who is chairperson of the entertainment committee. “We will have Dakota and Friends which is a dinosaur act that will have everyone in the family entertained. We are also bringing in a new puppet show, Agri-puppets, which is interactive for our youngest fairgoers and may teach the parents a thing or two as well as travelling entertainment that you will see around the fairgrounds.” Also returning this year are patrons’ favorites such as Comedy Hypnotist Allen Sands, The Hansen’s Spectacular Family Circus, and Rockit the Robot.
Another new offering this year is the fair app. The app is a free download and also includes an area to post photos.
