Cam Newton is receiving plenty of flak for storming out of his Super Bowl postgame press conference.
Now, through the magic of Twitter, the reason for the abrupt departure is becoming clearer.
In the postgame media room, Cam Newton was seated not far from the podium of Bronco’s cornerback Chris Harris.
Harris, who was obviously boisterous after becoming a champion, was heard in a Twitter video bragging out his team’s game plan to stop Newton.
THIS is why Cam walked out (listen to what’s being said in the background). pic.twitter.com/6LdLFwv8tj

Here’s what Harris is heard saying:: “[You] load the box, force y’all to throw the ball. Can you throw the football? That was the gameplan.”
Newton is seen in the video expressing disapproval at Harris’ comments, saying “I’m outta here” before leaving his podium.
It’s puzzling to think that an event as properly-coordinated as the Super Bowl would have a postgame presser with players from both teams sitting so close to one another, but regardless, we now have a better idea as to why Cam left on his own accord.
