LUMBERTON, S.C. (WBTW) – The Agricultural Center in Robeson County served over one thousand people in the community today.
To continue their work, County employees and volunteers say they are in need of nonperishable food, larger sized diapers, and tissue.
Over 200 volunteers have been giving people in need supplies all week.
Christy Strickland the Robeson County Extension Director Said, “It’s a great opportunity. We’ve had some stories that would just break your heart. And we’ve been able to give them the things that they need. I’ve spent most of my life in the helping profession and this is a combination of everything I’ve been doing my whole career.”
The distribution center will be closed Sunday to give volunteers rest but they will start back giving people in the community supplies on Monday.
If you wish to donate send or bring supplies to the Agricultural Center in Robeson County or any fire station in your area.
