Lamar defeated Baptist Hill 74-46 to the win the Class A state championship Friday at Benedict College.
Lamar’s 74 points is a state record for points in a state title game, and the 120 combined points is also a record.
Lamar finished the season undefeated, (15-0.) The Silver Foxes were led by Tyrik Herion with 248 yards on 22 carries and Jacquez Lucus with 221 yards on 12 carries. Lucas rushed for five scores and added another receiving.
Lamar had 722 yards total offense and Baptist Hill had 393.
