CONWAY, SC (WBTW) – A man’s body was found in an Horry County ditch Tuesday.
According to the SCHP website, the incident was reported at 4:41 p.m., on U.S. 701, between Gilbert Road and Winburn Road.
Sonny Collins of SC Highway Patrol says investigators do not know what vehicle hit the man or when it happened.
“We believe the crash happened some time before the person was discovered at the location,” Collins said.
Coroner Tony Hendrick says the man’s body was found by a passerby in a ditch along the highway that appeared to have been struck one to two days ago. Hendrick identified the man as 61-year-old Jeffrey Glenn King, Sr. King was from Texas but had recently lived in Horry County, Hendrick said.
