COLUMBIA (WBTW) – South Carolina lost 24-13 to No. 9 Texas A&M on Saturday afternoon.

The Gamecocks scored first on a 75 yard run by A.J. Turner in the first play of the game. But Texas A&M answered and the game was tied heading into halftime. In the second half, the Aggies scored first on a 46 yard run by Trayveon Williams. After taking that 14-7 lead, the Aggies never trailed again.

Texas A&M is now 5-0 on the season. “There’s no such thing as an ugly win,” A&M quarterback Trevor Knight said following the game. “Any time you get a win in the SEC, that’s a big deal. We still have a zero after that dash mark in the win-loss column, and we couldn’t be happier about it.”

South Carolina falls to 2-3 on the year. The Gamecocks host Georgia next weekend.
