HOPE MILLS, N.C. – A teen accused of helping Danielle Locklear’s boyfriend dispose of her body in March 2014 pleaded guilty Monday to an upgraded charge in connection with the Hope Mills teen’s death.
The District Attorney’s Office said Dominic Tayvon Lock, 18, pleaded guilty to being an accessory after the fact to first-degree murder. Lock was originally charged with second-degree murder of Locklear, who went to South View High School.
Lock is charged with helping Je’Michael Malloy dump Locklear’s body.
Police said Malloy and Lock tied cinder blocks to her body and tossed her in the South River, just south of Autryville. Her body was spotted on April 2.
Locklear, 15, died from asphyxiation. In April 2014, Malloy confessed to choking Locklear to death.
Malloy was charged with second-degree murder in the case.
