Taylor Herlong joined the WBTW News team in May of 2015. She currently reports during the week for News 13 at 11.
Taylor is excited to be reporting in her hometown of Marion, as she covers the Pee Dee and surrounding areas. She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina as a SC Broadcasters Association Scholar with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Broadcast Journalism. There, she was able to learn all aspects of news through USC’s Carolina News.
Her passion for journalism began at a very early age. In high school, she was part of Lake View High School’s live Gator TV Morning News broadcast where she worked as anchor, reporter and producer. In college, she continued to pursue her passion as she worked for Columbia’s Channel Two Government station as a host and producer for various segments. Taylor also interned with the NBC affiliate WMBF News in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and has had the opportunity to work with ESPNU covering college basketball in the SEC.
When Taylor’s not in the newsroom, she can be found with her feet in the sand, spending time with her friends and family, or cheering on her Gamecocks!
She is excited to be back home in the Pee Dee and is ready to hear your story! If you have a story idea, send her an email at
