LAKE CITY, SC (WBTW) – Lake City police say they have a person in custody hours after a multi-agency manhunt was launched.
A press release from Amy Pringle with the Lake City Police Department says 20-year-old Thaddeus Brayboy is now in the Effingham Detention Center for first degree domestic violence and assault on a police officer.
Officers initially responded to the Coker Trailer Park for a domestic call around 7 a.m. Thursday. While officers were trying to detain Brayboy, he began to fight officers and ran away after striking one officer in the head.
According to the release, the Florence County Sheriff’s Office, SLED, Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office and Probation and Parole Services all conducted the manhunt to find the suspect.
Within a few hours of their search, the suspect was located at a Kingstree apartment complex.
