Police responded to reports of shots fired in the parking lot of Magnolia Mall in Florence on Friday.
Lt. Mike Brandt, the Public Information Officer for the Florence Police Department, says officers responded to the mall after receiving reports of shots fired.
Brandt says both parties involved left the scene before police arrived, but identified one suspect as Sabastian Jamal Williams. Williams turned himself in to the Florence Police Department on Thursday. Williams faces charges of unlawful carrying of a pistol and discharging a firearm in city limits.
Brandt also says an investigation is ongoing and it is too early to tell if this incident is related to the reported threat at the mall on June 7.
Anyone with information about the shooting or the false call of a shooter at Magnolia Mall on June 7 should call the Florence Police Department at 843-665-3191 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-CRIMESC.
No other information about Williams or the shooting has been released.
