The suspect in a bank robbery at a Bank of America in Pawleys Island was shot following a police chase.

According to Jason Lesley with the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office, a man went into the Bank of America at 10267 Ocean Hwy just before closing time, passed a note to the teller and walked out with money. The man did not show a weapon.
