ATLANTA, GA (WBTW) – A suspect in a deadly Pawleys Island nightclub shooting has been captured near Atlanta.

Jarvis Jamison was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon with help from SLED, U.S. Marshalls, and Gwinnett County police, according to a press release from the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office. Jamison was wanted by the GCSO for murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime in relation to a recent shooting at a nightclub on Petigru Drive in Pawleys Island.

Jamison is awaiting extradition to Georgetown County.

Two people were killed in a shooting at a nightclub at 915 Petigru Drive on March 29. The victims of that shooting were identified by Deputy Coroner Paulette Radcliffe as Matthew Cobb, Jr., 28, of Hemingway, and Tevin Washington, 28, of Georgetown.

The GCSO previously said in a Facebook they were searching for Jamison in connection to the shooting.

Georgetown County Sheriff Lane Cribb previously said in a press release that his office would begin the legal steps to close down the Petigru Road nightclub, also known as TC’s Lounge, after three shootings in about eight months.
