MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Myrtle Beach police searched the area of 62nd Avenue North after a reported shooting Monday afternoon.

Captain Joey Crosby with the police department says officers were called to Blynn Drive, located between 62nd and 65th Avenue North, around 1 p.m. Monday for a reported shooting. No one was injured, but daycares in the area were placed on lockdown as a safety precaution until police cleared the scene. 

Officers have one suspect in custody. This suspect is identified as Jeffery Neal Harris. Harris is charged with attempted murder, armed robbery, leaving the scene of an accident, and simple possession of marijuana. Harris appeared before a judge Tuesday afternoon and was issued a $75,000 bond for both the attempted murder charge and the armed robbery charge. A mugshot for Harris is not currently available. 

Police are still searching for a second suspect. The second suspect is described as a bald black male who was last seen wearing a tan shirt, blue jeans, and no shoes.
