A man has been arrested by Darlington police after allegedly holding a woman against her will and hitting her with a wooden board.
The Darlington Police Department has arrested 40-year-old Edward A. Agbo, III, according to a press release from Captain Kimberly Nelson, with the DPD. He is wanted for kidnapping and assault. He turned himself in to the Darlington Investigators.
On January 9, a victim was allegedly held against her will, the release says. While she was reportedly attempting to leave, Agbo allegedly hit her with a wooden board.
“The victim was scared to leave the location because the subject allegedly threatened to hit her with a hammer,” the release also states. “The victim was able to break free from the subject and ran from the location. The victim was able to flag down law enforcement.”
