A man was arrested after Myrtle Beach police say he attacked and severely injured a woman in a hotel room.

According to J. Reuben Long Detention Center booking records, 50-year-old Carlton Hall Jr., of Dublin, Georgia, was booked on Thursday around 2:45 p.m. He is charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature. No bail has been set.

A wanted poster from the department said Hall was wanted for assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature. The poster described him as a black male who is about five feet, eight inches tall and about 195 pounds.

A police report says officers were called to the Crepe Myrtle Hotel at 401 7th Avenue North around 12:30 p.m.on Monday in reference to a medical call. EMS and officers found the victim naked on a bed laying in urine and feces. The victim was given Narcan “in an attempted to counteract the possibility of an overdose.” but the Narcan didn’t work. The victim also had facial injuries “consistent with that of an assault.” She was taken to the hospital. No information on her condition is available.

The report also says a witness told police Hall was staying in a room with the victim. The witness said she wasn’t sure of the relationship between Hall and the victim, but thought they were a couple. The witness also told police she found it suspicious that the victim was very social when checking in to the motel and that she hadn’t seen the victim in two days. The witness also said she noticed Hall around the room and he appeared to be under the influence of something.

According to the report, another witness told police when he went to the room to notify Hall and the victim of checkout, Hall opened the door and said they’d be leaving shortly. This witness also says Hall turned in the key by himself before leaving the property on foot. When he went back to the room, this witness says he found the victim unconscious, but breathing.
