Police in Loris have made an arrest in a grand larceny case from 2017. 

Terry Lee Phipps of Whiteville, NC, is was arrested in connection to the case, according to the Loris Police Department. Phipps is charged with grand larceny and breach of trust with fraudulent intent. 

According to a police report, a business owner in Loris came to police after a man, now believed to be Phipps, came into his business to pick up materials for a known customer. Phipps allegedly did this several times in September and October of 2017. That customer later contacted the business owner saying they had not received any of those materials. 

In total over $14,000 in materials were stolen. 

Phipps was arrested Wednesday and released on Thursday on a $2,000 bond.
