Deputies with the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a reported armed robbery at a convenience store Thursday night.

According to a Facebook post from the department, the incident was reported at a Winyah One Stop location along Highmarket Street.

The sheriff’s office said a man held a victim at gunpoint to gain entry into the store.

Once inside, the sheriff’s office said the suspect demanded money. An undisclosed amount of money was taken from the business.

Jason Lesley, with the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office, tells News13 that the suspect, a man, fled on foot after the incident.

No injuries were reported.

On Friday, the GCSO posted surveillance video from the incident on Facebook. Deputies ask anyone who recognizes the man’s voice in the video to call the GCSO.
