LATTA, SC (WBTW) – Police in Latta are trying to identify a person of interest after someone tried to break into a convenience store.

It happened at Tiger Mart on North Richardson Street around 2 a.m. on Thursday.

Police Chief Derrick Cartwright released a surveillance picture of the person investigators want to identify.

Cartwright says there are at least two suspects, one used a bandanna to hide their face.

Officers responded to an alarm around 2 a.m. but the store appeared to be secure. Later, officers were called and back to the store and shown where someone tried to get inside from the roof.
