The police chief of Surfside Beach hosted a public meeting Thursday evening on the May motorcycle rallies.
Chief Rodney Keziah said the purpose of the meeting was to let Surfside resident know what to expect during the events.
Part of the discussion centered on the 23-mile traffic loop officers will enforce during the Memorial Day Weekend Bikefest.
Representatives from the Myrtle Beach Police Department and the South Carolina Highway Patrol also attended the meeting to answer the public’s questions.
