Sumter man arrested for larceny, burglary in connection to 2 break-ins

The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office arrested 30-year-old Jehrode William Hodge, of Sumter, for larceny and burglary on Friday.

A press release says Hodge had two warrants. One warrant says he entered an unlocked door in an enclosed area near the S&S Muffler Shop, located at 100 Myrtle Beach Highway in Sumter County, on April 21. Once on the property, Hodge reportedly entered an unlocked 2001 Saturn and stole speakers and amplifiers valued around $2,700. A jacket with Hodge’s name on it was recovered from the vehicle by police. The second warrant says Hodge entered a residence on the 620 block of E. Brewington Rd. on May 7. He reportedly entered the residence by pushing in a window air conditioner and going through the window. Hodge is accused of taking a 32-inch Sony television valued around $200. Investigators recovered a fingerprint from Hodge.

No other information about Hodge or the above incidents has been released.
