SUMTER, SC (WBTW) – The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office arrested two people for drugs Friday.

According to Ken Bell with the sheriff’s office, an undercover operation led to the seizure of 200 grams of marijuana estimated at $4,000 and also $200 worth Oxycodone.

The press release says investigators also seized a gun and $1,887 in U.S. Currency.

Bernard Peoples of Sumter was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession with the intent to distribute marijuana ½ mile of school or park. 2nd Offense, possession with the intent to distribute marijuana 2ND Offense and possession of controlled substance.

Justice Peoples, also from Sumter, was charged with violation of South Carolina gun law.
