NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) Sunday marks the beginning of summer beach rules in North Myrtle Beach.
The regulations limit things like dogs, surfing and tents.
Dogs are not allowed on the beach between 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. They must be on a leash after that.
Surfing is not allowed between 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. and only in designated areas.
Beach goers are not allowed to have tents, tarps, cabanas, pavilions or similar devices.
The only exception is Baby tents no larger than 31″ high by 31.5″ wide by 38″ deep may be used year-round on the beach to shade persons 18 months of age or under
