Subway donates subs to children in Florence hospital ahead of charity event

FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – Young patients at Mcleod Children’s Hospital in Florence enjoyed a free meal on Thursday thanks to Subway.

Local Subway owners brought turkey and ham subs to the children to raise awareness and money for new monitors in the hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit.

This comes ahead of next Thursday’s “Subway Cares for Kids Day” when sub shops in our area will donate a portion of the day’s sales to the children’s hospital.

Subway expects participating sub shops to collect at least $25,000 for the children’s hospital during next Thursday’s event.
