Robeson County is no longer under a curfew, according to a press release from the county. 

As river levels begin to decrease in the Robeson County area, the curfew that had been in place has been lifted, the release says. 

According to the release, three shelters remain open in the area, including Lumberton High School, Purnell Swett and Bill Sap. 

Several locations are also providing hot meals, according to the release. The American Red Cross will provide meals at shelter locations and starting on Monday, Sept. 24, the Salvation Army will be providing meals from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at three locations:

– New Hope United Methodist Church- 210 South Martin Luther King Jr. Street, Rowland, NC

– Sunoco store- 3001 West 5th Street, Lumberton, NC

– Lumberton Junior High School- 82 Marion Road, Lumberton, NC

The release also says care packages, water, and other supplies have been distributed at the following points of distributions: 

– St. Paul’s Fire Department- 585 W McLean Street, St.Pauls

– Britts Fire Department- 9495 N.C. Highway 72 E, Lumberton

– Deep Branch Fire Department -129 Deep Branch Road, Lumberton

– East Howellsville Fire Department- 1000 Pridgen Road, Lumberton

– Evans Crossroads Fire Department- 3440 Elrod Road, Maxton 

– Lumberton Jr. High School- 82 Marion Road, Lumberton

– Queheel Fire Department- 108 E. Rockingham Road, Maxton

– Red Springs Fire Department- 133 N. Main Street, Red Springs

– Northwoods Fire Department- 344 Sherwood Road, Lumberton 

– Parkton Fire Department- 2704 W. Parkton Tobemory Road, Parkton

– Pembroke Fire Department 201 Main Street, Pembroke

– Rowland Fire Department 401 N. Bond Street, Rowland

– United Way of Robeson County- 514 Peterson Drive, Lumberton

– Fairmont Rural Fire Department- 203 Mulberry Street, Fairmont

– Saddletree Fire Department- 76 Rozier Church Road, Lumberton

Tractor trailers of ice are also available at four locations as of about 5 p.m. on Sunday, according to the release. These locations include: Smyrna Fire Department, Red Springs Fire Department, Queheel Fire Department, and Lumberton Jr.High. 

Donations are also needed, the release says. For bulk or tractor size donations, call 910-272-5878. For smaller donations, drop off is at 2300 Cedar Street in Lumberton. This drop off site will be open from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Items needed include:

– Toiletries including dental supplies

– Diapers (child and adult)

– Baby formula and wet wipes

– Underwear and cocks (new)

– First aid items and only factory sealed medicines

– Cleaning supplies

– Canned goods

– Bed pillows and blankets (new)

– Box fans

– Hand sanitizer

– Water

– Work gloves, utility and latex/nitrile Gloves, utility knives, related safety and work related items

– Flashlights

– Batteries

– Trash Bags, heavy duty clean up bags, boxes

– General construction tools, equipment, safety equipment, safety clothing, work boots

Items that are not being accepted include: used clothing, shoes, toys, books and magazines, games, and perishable items. 

According to the release, Food Nutrition Service will be offering replacement benefits to current clients on Monday, Sept. 24 through Friday Sept. 28 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the following locations:

– Red Springs Community Center- 112 Cross Street, Red Springs

– Rowland Town Hall- 202 W. Main Street, Rowland

– Pembroke Boys & Girls Club- 120 Youth Drive, Pembroke

– 1st Baptist Community Building- Coroner of 7th and Walnut, Lumberton

– St. Pauls Community Building- 111 North Third Street, St. Pauls

– Heritage Center- 107 Main Street, Fairmont

– Authenix Sports Bar- 100 Railroad Street, Maxton

All county offices will open for business as usual on Monday, September 24.
