Multiple counties in North Carolina are reporting 911 outages for people dialing the emergency number on their cellphones.  

Robeson County Spokesperson Emily Jones says many counties in the Southeast region of the state are experiencing issues with cell phone users calling 911.

Brunswick County officials say they’re impacted as well as representatives from Henderson County.

Columbus County officials also say they’ve been impacted by cellular 911 outages. 

“We have been notified that multiple cellular service providers are having issues with 911 service across the entire Southeast portion of the United States,” a press release from Columbus County Emergency Services says. “The cellular service providers are addressing the issues at their respective levels and are working to resolve the issues. No definite timeline has been provided as to when the issue will be resolved.”

People who need to call 911 from a cell phone in Robeson County are asked to call 910-671- 3170.
