Wanted mom, 6 kids missing from Oconee Co. found safe in Alabama

OCONEE COUNTY, SC (WSPA) – The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office officials said a wanted mother and her six children have been found safe in Alabama.

According to a sheriff’s office news release, Jennafer Machelle Price, and her kids were located in Autauga County, Ala. near Montgomery.

Sheriff’s office officials said the children are ok and are in the custody of the Department of Social Services in Alabama.DSS employees from South Carolina are currently headed to Alabama to take custody of the kids.

Price was arrested by Alabama authorities and has been charged with six counts of custodial interference in Oconee County.

According to the release, Price will go through the normal judicial process before she is extradited back to Oconee County.

Price was believed to be driving a 2001 Toyota Sienna Minivan with South Carolina license plate 668KW.

The children are: 11-year-old Alana Grant, 9-year-old Tristan Price, 6-year-old Nyomi Hardwick, 4-year-old Alijah Hardwick, 2-year-old Rylee Hardwick, and 1-year-old Anton Hardwick.
